IO-N.NET is an ambitious group project set up by video artist Grégory Chatonsky, a founding member of the experimental web platform “Incident.net.??? Created exclusively in flash, the site presents a collection of artistic interventions that exploit the Internet’s function and language to lead to new insights. Each of the compiled projects has the suffix “ION,??? each with its very own domain, such as “TERRITORIALISAT.IO-N.NET??? or “POSIT.IO-N.NET.??? Chatonsky has been the recipient of numerous awards, like the Grand Prix Mobius in 1999 for his CD-ROM Memories of the Shoah, a project he worked on from 1995 through 1998.
