My hard drive is experiencing some strange noises

Record it, send it to a producer.

If the album sells, you can buy a new drive!

Do we know what the high-pitched, « wind chime » sounds are, specifically? As a former submarine sonarman, this was a very interesting project. It would be fun to hook up a high-speed camera with a macro lens and see if the harmonics could be captured on film. Crazy talk, I know, but so is all the millions of ’70’s Acid-heads thinking right now that this is their chance to drop a lid and finally receive the secrets of the Universe. Mendocino, CA will never be the same…

I like that very much indeed; a simple idea, but so musically executed. I’ll be playing this one to my students.

I would be really interested to know what you used as the sensor? A piezo transducer, by any chance?
