THERE! at V2/EXSTREAMONLINE Description: Distance and proximity are two opposite notions. But in certain situations like when we travel or in transit places, distance and proximity meet. « There! » is an online video platform, an interface which produces interactive movies using the images from a specific database. It includes audio and video sequences relating to travel and time/space between. It is open to other artists who can add their own videos. The final object is a narrative that combines video, sound and text following certain « rules of grammar ». Each time you visit the website you will find a different story generated by the interface. VIES SUSPENDUESINSTALLATION Description: "Vies suspendues" nous entraîne dans une boucle souterraine: celle d'un aller-retour entre deux stations de métro. Le spectateur, en navigant à travers cette boucle, la transforme indéfiniment et par ses trajectoires multiples et aléatoires trace un espace individuel et subjectif. "Vies suspendues" est la préfiguration du projet "there!", qui sera développé au V2 (NL) en avril 2004. |
| "Still lives" plunges us into
an underground loop between Parisian subway stations. The viewer,
a passenger in this loop, draws his own individual and subjective
space, using multiple and random trajectories. His decisions transform
space indefinitely. "Still lives" prefigures "there!", a project that would be developed at V2 (Rotterdam - NL) in April 2004. |
